Gayatri . . . the most powerful prayer in the world!

Dr. Howard Steingeril, an American scientist, has collected Mantras, Hymns and invocations from all over the world and from all religions, and tested their strength in his Physiology Laboratory. He concluded that the Hindu Vedic Gayatri Mantra is the most rewarding scientifically.

The Gayathri Mantra produced 110,000 sound waves per second. It was found to be the highest and the most powerful prayer in the world.

The combination of sound and variation in the sound waves and its particular frequency is capable of developing specific spiritual potentialities. The Hamburg University initiated this research into the efficacy of the Gayatri Mantra both on the mental and physical plane of CREATION...

The GAYATRI MANTRA is now being broadcast daily for 15 minutes from 7 P.M. onwards over Radio Paramaribo, Surinam, South America for the past two years, and also in Amsterdam, Holland for the last 6 months.

Increase Your Practice of Chanting Time

Sathya Sai Baba says it should take approx. 15 seconds to chant the Mantra each time, not rushing it. Thus, approx. 27 to 30 minutes for 108 repetitions. Try to chant the Mantra at least 108 times daily, 36 times at sunrise, 36 times at noon, 36 times at sunset. There is a special, mysterious, spiritual force or wonderful magnetic power at the time of sunrise and sunset.

It is essential to recite the Gayatri Mantra at least three times during morning, noon, and evening. This will serve to reduce the effects of the wrong acts one does every day. It is like buying goods for cash, instead of getting them on credit. There is no accumulation of karmic debt, since each day's karma is atoned for that day itself by reciting the Gayatri Mantra.

Mother Gayatri

Goddess Gayatri is worshiped as the Mother of all Gods in Hindu Religion. She is the consort of Lord Brahma and culmination of the Goddesses Lakshmi, Parvati and Saraswati. Goddess Gayatri has five faces and influences the five senses or five life forces. As She has five faces She is also called Panchamukhi. References to this Goddess can be found in Rig, Yajur, Saam and Atharva Vedas. Goddess Gayatri protects and heals all who chant Her mantra and helps the individual in their spiritual awakening or Self-realization. Mother Gayatri is typically portrayed as seated on a red lotus, signifying wealth. The Gayatri Mantra is the most powerful of all Sanskrit Mantras.

Mother of the Vedas

Goddess Gayatri is also called "Veda-Mata" or Mother of the Vedas - because it is the very basis of the Vedas. It is the basis, the reality behind the experienced and the cognized universe. The Vedas are the very breath of God and the Gayatri Mantra is at the very basis of the Vedas.

The Veda emanated from God Himself as inhalation and exhalation. The great sages, who were the embodiments of the treasure gained by long ascetic practices, received Veda as a series of sounds and spread it over the world by word of mouth from preceptor to pupil. Since it was 'heard' and preserved by generations, the Veda is known as Sruthi, "that which was heard or listened to."     - Sri Sathya Sai Baba

The Gayatri is enshrined in the Vedas, the most ancient scriptures of man.   - Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Bhagavan is the Vedapurusha and is therefore the Supreme Authority on the Vedas.    - Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Gayatri is the Mother of the Vedas.     - Sri Sathya Sai Baba
